Die Veitskapelle in Stuttgart-Mühlhausen ist eines der wenigen verbliebenen mittelalterlichen Zeugnisse der Landeshauptstadt.

Die Veitskapelle ist während der Herbst- und Wintermonate geschlossen.
In der Zeit von Ostern (17. April) bis Erntedank Erntedank (2. Oktober) ist die Kapelle immer sonntags zwischen 14.00 und 16.30 Uhr geöffnet.
Einleitung zur Veitskapelle
Heute ist sie die älteste unzerstörte bzw. original erhaltene Kirche in Stuttgart. Das Besondere der Veitskapelle ist das in einer ungewöhnlichen Geschlossenheit mittelalterliche Wandmalereien und mittelalterliche Altäre noch vorhanden sind und bis 1560 weitere Ausstattungsstücke erhielt.

nicht nur die Wandmalereien sind kunsthistorisch wertvoll, auch die Holzarbeiten, und damit vor allem die Altäre, sind bedeutsam. Ein ehemaliger Altar, der erste Hochaltar im Chor der Veitskapelle, steht heute in der Stuttgarter Staatsgalerie und ist dort ein besonderes Schmuckstück.
